• Maths and English dominate supply. Mathematics (356 listings) and English (313) are by far the most offered subjects, giving families the widest choice and the lowest entry-level pricing.
• Prices vary by country, but online erases the border. Among the larger markets, France is the most affordable (median €25/hour) and the United Kingdom the priciest (€30/hour). Because lessons are online, a family can hire across borders at the best price.
• Private tutoring is booming. Dutch household spending on tutoring rose from about €26 million in 1995 to roughly €320 million in 2019, a more than twelvefold increase, and the demand has not slowed since.
